Paranormal
The reported intersection of the living world and what may lie beyond it — hauntings, apparitions, demonic and angelic encounters, the daimon as guide.
The Paranormal file is older than this archive, older than the modern category itself. Hauntings of specific houses are recorded continuously in the English literary record back to the 1700s. Apparitions — of the dead, of saints, of strangers later identified — appear in primary sources across every civilisation that wrote anything down.
We catalogue four kinds of report: hauntings (place-bound recurring phenomena), ghosts (apparitions of the deceased), demons (malevolent non-corporeal entities in the Abrahamic frame), angels (messenger entities), and daimon (the Greek classical sense — neutral guiding intelligence, Socrates’ inner voice).
The standard of evidence here is necessarily lower than for radar-confirmed UAP, and we say so explicitly on each file. Witness consistency, multiple independent witnesses, and primary documentary trail are what we look for.
